New Years Day Ale & Ride - 01 January 2023

Route 23

The Provincial Society are proud to present the return of our popular event, Ale & Ride, which will take place on Sunday 1st January 2023.

Following the success of our 2020 event, the Provincial Society will once again welcome a selection of preserved buses and coaches to the streets of Gosport and Fareham. Linking up with a selection of notable pubs along the way, a free heritage preserved bus service will operate between the two towns every 30 minutes via Lee on Solent, Stubbington, Hill Head and Titchfield. The first departure from Fareham Bus Station will be at 11.00 with the last bus departing for Gosport at 17.00. The first departure from Gosport Bus Station will be at 11.15 with the last bus departing for Fareham at 17.15. 

Up to five preserved vehicles from the Provincial Society fleet will be operating, supported by a selection of buses and coaches from across the south coast. All bus services will be completely free of charge and no purchase it necessary to ride on the buses. The heritage bus service will stop outside chosen pubs on route, no other stops will be observed. 

So why not leave the car at home, enjoy a new year drink and a bite to eat and enjoy a journey on a preserved vehicle of days gone by. We look forward to seeing you on the 1st January 2023!
